Parent Coaches, Player Coaches & Performing at your best:
How do I get a coaching credential? Parents and players, coaching is a great way to get involved in the sport! You can coach your children and your teammates between points and games and help your club perform it’s best! In order to coach at tournaments, you must join USA Badminton ($40 annually), pass the USAB Level 1 Sport Performance Course ($85), take a USOC Safe Sport course (free), do a background check (fee?), and then submit all your information and photo and a credential application fee of $30. Then you are able to coach at sanctioned junior tournaments. Please note that this must be done far in advance of tournaments and there are specific time periods for applications!
